ABOUT CAPINTERACT

The largest administrators built their own platforms. We built one for everyone else.

That took years and dedicated platform teams. We did it once – so administrators of any size can offer the same thing to their clients, under their own brand.

The gap was never capability. It was cost.

Administrators run capable operations. What they haven't been able to afford is the layer their clients actually see – the live platform a fund manager logs into, the portal an investor expects, the reporting that doesn't arrive as an attachment.

The largest administrators solved it by building. That worked because they could spread the cost across a book big enough to justify it. Everyone else was left choosing between a build priced for a firm ten times their size and a status quo their clients were starting to notice.

CapInteract exists to remove that choice. One platform, built once, delivered under the administrator's brand – over the systems they already run.

What we don't do is the point.

The constraints we set are the reason the platform is adoptable.

  • We don't touch your books.

No fund accounting, no NAV, no transfer agency. Those stay with the systems and people handling them today.

  • We read; we don't write back.

Connectivity to your accounting system is read-only, and it's enforced at the database level rather than by convention: our application account holds read permission only, and a write attempt is refused by the server. Your ledger remains the system of record.

  • Your brand, not ours.

Every screen your clients and their investors see carries your name. Ours appears in your contract, not in your client relationships.

  • Your data leaves when you want it.

A full structured export, on request, always.

Built by people who have done this work.

CapInteract was founded in 2018 by Don Winger and Matt McCormack, backed from the start by Sanne – now part of Apex Group, one of the largest fund administrators in the world.

Don Winger, co-founder and CEO, is building the platform that gives every administrator what the largest ones built for themselves. He founded AnalytX and grew it across the US and Europe; its platforms were adopted by firms including J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley, and the company was acquired by eFront – one of the systems the industry runs on today – where he then led technology and innovation.

Matt McCormack, co-founder and CTO, was a key engineer at AnalytX, where the two founders first built together. His depth spans both sides of the platform – the finance of private equity and alternatives, and the engineering that turns it into working software. That combination is what CapInteract is built on. Today he leads engineering across the United States and Belgrade.

Behind the founders is a team that has built its careers in alternative assets – finance specialists trained in economics and investment analysis on one side, computer-science engineers on the other: the same two disciplines the platform is built from – many of them veterans of the systems this industry already runs on.

Waterford and Belgrade.

CapInteract is headquartered in Waterford, Virginia. Engineering and delivery run from Belgrade, alongside engineering leadership in the United States.

Continuity is a feature.

CapInteract is founder-owned and engineer-led, and people stay – much of the team has built this platform together for years. That continuity shows up where clients feel it: decisions are owned, details are remembered, and nothing ships that someone isn't proud to put their name near.
